About the position

The Operations Analyst at PEO STRI is responsible for analyzing and improving operational processes to enhance organizational performance. This role involves working closely with technical and management teams to support the mission of providing training and simulation capabilities for the U.S. Army. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to identify inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to operational performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership based on operational data and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize processes and workflows.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of operational policies and procedures and recommend changes as needed.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring timelines, resources, and goals are aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide support in analyzing financial, logistical, and performance data to guide decision-making processes.
  • Utilize analytical tools and methodologies to identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure operational activities are aligned with PEO STRI's mission, goals, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in operations analysis, process improvement, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, statistical methods, and operational modeling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for senior management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a DoD or government environment.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
