About the position

As an Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payment processes and commission calculations. You will be responsible for auditing terms entry against contracts, resolving discrepancies, and communicating resolutions effectively. Your role will involve responding to issues related to payment data entry or calculation through various channels, both in writing and verbally. In this position, you will create complex calculations to pay customer commissions, ensuring that all calculations are mathematically correct. Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers regarding commission payments will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will also be tasked with querying, cleansing, and validating conversion data for payments processed between old and new systems. Analyzing data to determine root causes of issues and developing process improvements or retraining personnel will be essential to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of processes. Additionally, you will analyze the profitability of terminals and collaborate with the Sales team to enhance profitability. Your analytical skills will be utilized to identify lost revenue opportunities and bring them to fruition. You will assist the team with investigations of issues and monthly tasks such as commission payment runs, fee settlement reports, updates to existing data, and the creation of new data. Preparing Fee Settlement statements for customers and gathering business and data requirements from stakeholders will also be part of your duties. You will identify, document, and implement business process improvements, design and deploy databases to assist sales and accounting, and produce reporting and metrics as requested by business leadership. Documenting current and future processes using visual models, flow charts, and written narratives will be necessary to ensure clarity and understanding across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Audit terms entry against contract, resolve discrepancies, and communicate resolution.

  • Provide customer service to both internal and external customers related to commission payments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in Operations, Business, or Quantitative fields.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask or shift quickly between tasks.
  • Positive attitude and ability to see and implement solutions.
  • Desire to learn and ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong independent decision-making skills and ability to work independently.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and tenacity to seek out answers.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong Excel skills (preferred intermediate or higher).
  • Knowledge of Power Query & Power Pivot is a plus.
  • Data Analysis & Modeling, including Dimensional Modeling, is a plus.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary to complete projects per timeline.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all applicable background screening tests.
