About the position

The Operations Analyst at PLS will collaborate with store employees to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations. This role involves working with various departments to enhance compliance initiatives and provide educational resources to field staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly store operational assessments in accordance with Operational Analyst examining procedures
  • Compile and send reports to District Managers (DMs) and Store Managers (SMs)
  • Partner with Compliance to identify and improve store practices
  • Partner with AML Compliance to identify and improve store practices regarding AML and OFAC
  • Partner with Training to ensure all employees are compliant and timely with training requirements
  • Assist in coordinating Western Union reviews or audits and report results to appropriate internal partners
  • Monitor and ensure user credentials for all products and services are only for active employees
  • Oversight and assistance in the shredding and the storage of old documents based on local, state, and federal requirements
  • Assist Compliance Department in obtaining documents and information for regulatory exams or consumer complaints
  • Visit store locations to provide coaching and additional assistance
  • Liaison with internal partners to obtain information regarding compliance issues or audit results
  • Distribute newsletters from Western Union and other communications as appropriate

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Experience with audit/testing, banking, compliance, or a similar function
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance risk within financial services institutions
  • Certification or experience in audit, risk or compliance preferred
  • Knowledge of consumer regulations including fair lending, AML, BSA, FCPA, and OFAC
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and resolution skills
  • Effective project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
