About the position

This remote position involves a variety of analytical and reporting tasks that are essential for the smooth operation of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly analyses, generating reports, summaries, and dashboards that provide insights into business performance. This role requires effective communication skills as the individual will receive and respond to inquiries and complaints, interfacing with both internal and external personnel. The candidate will also support audit, compliance, and regulatory responsibilities, ensuring that all operations meet the necessary guidelines and standards. In addition to these responsibilities, the individual will be expected to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) guidelines while creating files, reconciling information, and executing system batches. A key part of the role involves identifying solutions to issues related to business operations performance and reporting findings and recommendations to management for process improvement. The candidate will participate in systems testing and validation for various operational systems, working closely with other teams or business units as a subject matter expert to understand objectives and dependencies, ensuring consistency across operations. The role may also involve serving as a departmental liaison with vendors or internal clients, applying both basic and complex analytics, data manipulation, and data queries to support business needs. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary, making adaptability and a proactive approach essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly analysis, reports, summaries and dashboards
  • Receive and respond to inquiries and complaints and interface with internal and external personnel
  • Support audit, compliance and regulatory responsibilities
  • Meet SLA guidelines in creating files, reconciling information, executing system batches, etc.
  • Identify solutions to issues related to the performance of the business operations and report findings and recommendations to management for process improvement
  • Participate in systems testing and validation for various operations systems
  • Work directly with other teams or business units as a subject matter expert to understand objectives and dependencies to ensure consistency
  • May serve as a departmental liaison with vendors or internal clients
  • Apply basic to complex analytics, data manipulation and/or data queries
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Experience working in Microsoft product suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Manipulation and creation of Excel spreadsheets; including but not limited to standardizing reports across multiple sheets, utilizing vLookups and functions/formulas, creating, using and interpreting pivot tables, filtering and formatting to generate desired results

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Work experience in health insurance or healthcare environment
  • Strong analysis and report development skills
  • Expertise in utilizing data analysis and query tools such as SAS or SQL
  • Experience with one or more of the following: querying data using data tables and ACCESS, identifying risks, issues and providing resolution options
  • Working experience with NYSOH or Federal Exchange
  • Ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication
