About the position

The Operations Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the compliance and smooth operation of retirement plans at Retirement Plan Consultants. This position involves managing the setup, maintenance, and offboarding of retirement plans while adhering to regulatory standards. The role requires effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the company's reputation for excellence in retirement plan administration.

Responsibilities

• Initial plan setup, conversion of assets, and maintenance of plan specifications in the recordkeeping system due to amendments, integrations, investment changes, or other factors affecting the operation of the plan.
• Coordinate the offboarding process for retirement plans reaching termination or discontinuation.
• Timely and accurate plan calculation and execution of plan corrections resulting from missed contributions or other administrative errors.
• Perform quality control reviews, and assist with research and resolution of issues with contributions, distributions, loans, dividends, transfers, and other transactions.
• Assist internal team members with inquiries or issues.
• Stay informed about changes in retirement plan regulations, trends, and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members and management to implement enhancements and streamline operational procedures.

Requirements

• Completion of ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals (RPF).
• Experience with retirement plan administration software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.
