About the position

The Operations Analyst position is a critical role within our organization, focusing on the confirmation of traded volumes and the nomination of gas in pipeline and utility systems. This position supports traders by responding urgently to information requests and actively monitoring operational constraints. A key aspect of the role involves clear and proactive communication with counterparties, customers, and representatives to foster goodwill and cultivate strong relationships. The analyst will be responsible for mapping gas flows and balancing volumes in the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system, ensuring accurate invoices and profit and loss (P&L) allocations. In addition to these responsibilities, the Operations Analyst will take ownership of portfolio P&Ls, which includes rate setting, asset optimization, trading positions, and risk management. The role also requires reviewing and approving pipeline transportation invoices, investigating any discrepancies, and providing support to the Accounting Team. The analyst will identify and evaluate value-add opportunities such as market expansion, new market entry, new product offerings, and other strategic initiatives. Furthermore, the position involves assisting in managing a power book through forecasting, regulatory work, and P&L analysis. The Operations Analyst will participate in an on-call weekend rotation approximately six times per year, with occasional nights and weekends required. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and is capable of adapting to rapidly changing priorities.
