About the position

The Operations and Data Coordinator at Q30 Sports Science is an entry-level role focused on generating and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness. This position plays a crucial role in providing insights to business leaders by evaluating sales and distribution activities, including product orders and inventory control, while driving process improvements. The coordinator will work closely with various teams to ensure data accuracy and support operational challenges, contributing to the company's mission of reducing the risk of traumatic brain injury in athletes and military personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance, operational effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Collect and analyze data related to distribution and sales operations, including inventory levels and order volumes.
  • Evaluate existing operations processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Leverage expertise in enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) to extract and analyze data, identifying trends and areas for optimization.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Utilize data modeling techniques and advanced Excel skills to create models, charts, and graphs that effectively communicate complex data sets.
  • Implement quality control measures and data validation techniques to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with various teams on inventory control, inventory management, and customer service to gather data and develop solutions for operational challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements through data analysis and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Accounting, or a related field; applicable experience in lieu of degree.
  • 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a product distribution environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, techniques, and software, including advanced Excel functions.
  • Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management systems and their data structures.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs).
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex data findings clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Shopify, Ship Station, EDI, and other systems.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic startup environment.
