About the position

The Operations Event Manager at Park City Arena is responsible for leading and supervising the execution of event-specific activities. This role involves planning, coordinating, and evaluating the operational needs of all arena events while ensuring a safe and professional environment. The manager will oversee service staff, manage event logistics, and maintain relationships with vendors and clients to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all events are coordinated and executed in a safe and professional manner.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate skilled and semi-skilled workers for event setup and operation.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels for all events, including security and maintenance teams.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and agencies to exceed customer service expectations.
  • Inspect and evaluate equipment and facility conditions, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Monitor and document all expenses and budgets related to arena operations.

Requirements

  • A two-year degree or two to three years of related experience in building conversion and mechanical repair.
  • Experience in hiring, training, and supervising staff.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in event management.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of management practices and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • CAD training and knowledge is preferred but not required.
