About the position

The Operations and Finance Manager at Girls Inc. of Greater Pittsburgh (GIGP) plays a crucial role in enhancing operational and financial processes within the organization. This full-time position focuses on driving efficiency, managing budgets, and ensuring financial health while collaborating with various departments. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, dedicated to optimizing performance in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Streamline operations and improve efficiencies across departments.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPI) to measure operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment of operational goals with financial objectives.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize costs.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming inquiries and provide sophisticated communication to liaise between Girls Inc. staff, external stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Participate in event planning teams for annual fundraising events, including logistical planning and execution.
  • Maintain finance and development operations, including donor tracking and financial reporting.
  • Create and implement effective tracking systems for donor data management.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on financial reporting procedures and development work.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans and initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's degree in a related course of study is a plus.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in operations, financial management, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with discretion.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with nonprofit financial management or accounting.
  • Familiarity with database/CRM system management, preferably Salesforce.
