About the position

Amentum is seeking a highly qualified Operations and Global Force Management (GFM) Analyst to provide real-time operational support, research, analysis, and assessments in support of United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) (USSPACEFOR-INDOPAC) at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and mission-focused environment, demonstrating the ability to work across multiple stakeholders to identify optimal solutions for complex problems. This role requires an operational leader with expertise in Global Force Management, ensuring that the GFM process aligns with strategic objectives and operational requirements. In this position, you will oversee the development and execution of the GFM process within the command. This includes coordinating with military commands, DoD agencies, and international partners to develop and execute GFM plans, which encompass force deployments, movements, and sustainment. You will leverage the Global Force Management Application (GFMAP) to efficiently execute GFM functions and utilize the Global Force Management Integrated Graph (GFMIG) to assist in planning and decision-making for GFM operations. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you assess force capabilities, identify shortfalls and gaps, and recommend solutions to optimize force posture and readiness. Additionally, you will lead the development of risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and contingency plans to support GFM operations. Collaboration with operational planners, intelligence, and other stakeholders is essential to ensure that GFM plans are informed and supported by relevant information and analysis. Regular assessments of the GFM process will be conducted to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with DoD policies and procedures. You will also manage the GFM budget and develop cost estimates to support force planning and decision-making, providing regular updates and briefings to senior military leaders and stakeholders on the status of GFM operations and activities. Representing the command in forums and meetings related to GFM will be a key responsibility, where you will provide expertise and advice to other commands and DoD agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and execution of the GFM process within the command, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate with military commands, DoD agencies, and international partners to develop and execute GFM plans, including force deployments, movements, and sustainment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 10 years of combined experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Experience in operational planning and Global Force Management (GFM).
  • Proficient at authoring analytical and/or policy documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in order to provide information and operations support.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Must have an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least 3 years of experience in Global Force Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in the USINDOPACOM AOR.
  • At least 2 years of experience on a military staff office (Service HQ, Combatant Command, OSD, JS).
  • Familiar with U.S. Space Force structure and processes.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university or Graduation from a military command and staff college.
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME).
