About the position

As the Operations and Grants Coordinator at The Catholic Foundation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the office while directly supporting the Foundation's grants program. This position involves managing office operations, coordinating grant processes, and collaborating with various Catholic organizations to further the Foundation's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for grant-related activities, including processing grants online and communicating through the Foundation Cloud Grant (FCG) system.
  • Assist in evaluating potential grant recipients and ensuring compliance with the Foundation's requirements.
  • Collaborate with Catholic parishes, schools, and organizations to further the Foundation's mission.
  • Coordinate and manage office events and functions.
  • Maintain daily office operations, including kitchen and supply inventory management.
  • Organize and place lunch orders, and handle all incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Scan and manage financial documents in SharePoint, keeping the Business Development team informed.
  • Prepare and manage expense reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree in business administration, communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in an administrative or office management role.
  • Experience in grant coordination, office management, or non-profit environments is highly valued.
  • Strong organizational skills and a detailed mindset with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic financial acumen, with experience in handling expense reports.
  • Practicing Catholic preferred to align with the values and mission of the Foundation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
