About the position

Surgentec is an innovative medical device company based out of Boca Raton, FL, dedicated to improving healthcare through a diverse array of products that benefit patients, hospital staff, and surgeons across various fields. As the company continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking a motivated Operations and Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting from $45,000 per year and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The Operations and Inventory Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing inventory management processes and operational activities within the organization. This position involves managing the recovery and transfer of inventory, handling expired and aging stock, and coordinating with suppliers on purchase orders. The specialist will also be responsible for job creation and queue management, overseeing reworks, and managing the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities for manufacturing demo products, reporting, cycle counting, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Operations and Inventory Specialist will also be expected to perform any additional duties or tasks assigned by the manager, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recovery and transfer of aging and expired inventory to minimize waste and ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and storage of inventory-related records.
  • Coordinate job builds and manage job queues, including labels and rework activities.
  • Oversee the creation and manufacturing of demo products as required.
  • Interface with suppliers to follow up on purchase orders and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Handle the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process, ensuring proper documentation and coordination.
  • Collaborate with the quality management team for receiving, inspecting, and handling goods to meet quality standards.
  • Generate and analyze inventory and operations reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for job builds, inventory levels, and other operational activities.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within inventory management and operations.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory and operational processes.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in inventory control (preferred).
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Experience in warehouse management and demand planning.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
