About the position

The Operations and Logistics Associate at Li-Lac Chocolates is responsible for managing inventory, supporting internet operations, and ensuring efficient logistics and deliveries. This role combines driving responsibilities with on-site tasks at the factory and retail locations, requiring a valid driver's license and the ability to handle physical tasks related to logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the tracking and organization of goods at Brooklyn Army Terminal.
• Use scanning equipment for accurate inventory management and assist with internet operations during busy periods.
• Participate in the loading and unloading of products, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel to optimize the logistics process.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in loading/unloading areas.
• Ensure timely packing and shipping of internet orders.
• Prepare shipping labels and coordinate with logistics vendors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace.
• Work with the Operations Manager on organizing warehouse space and supplies.
• Accurately complete delivery logs, manifests, and maintain records of vehicle maintenance and inventory.
• Communicate effectively with team members to optimize delivery routes and schedules.
• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products.
• Perform vehicle inspections and ensure adherence to traffic regulations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in a delivery driver role, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with GPS systems and route optimization.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety in all deliveries and inventory management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in warehouse management.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
