About the position

The Operations and Marketing Coordinator at Tahoe Knight Monsters is an entry-level position focused on supporting operations, marketing, partnership fulfillment, and community relations. The role involves coordinating various departments to ensure successful event execution, creating promotional materials, and managing the internship program. This position requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively to enhance the guest experience during home games and special events.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for set up and tear down of all game day elements pertaining to guest experience and Partnership fulfillment
  • Work closely with the Ticket Sales and Corporate Sales Departments Operations Manager to develop, plan and execute special events during games
  • Assist with execution of arena atmosphere elements (announcements, music, LED graphics and text, video board content)
  • Main contact for Partners with relation to fulfillment of agreement, including in-game activities, concourse tables, graphics, announcements, prize packages, etc.
  • Responsible for writing game day script to include all activities and Partnership fulfillment elements
  • Responsible for meeting with management staff on a weekly basis to provide updates and review upcoming game activities and events
  • Assist in management of gameday production team
  • Weekly newsletter creation
  • Responsible for gameday survey creation and execution
  • Responsible for creating and executing networking events
  • Responsible for leading the internship program

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/University required
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as an event lead or related position within the sports/entertainment industry preferred
  • Experience reading contracts and executing terms listed within
  • Knowledge of broadcast control room and production environments
  • Ability to understand/follow creative direction and incorporate constructive feedback
  • Detail-oriented, driven self-motivator with a strong work ethic to get the job done
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Possess a positive and optimistic attitude
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs - Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as the event calendar requires
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work within strict deadlines and quick turnarounds
  • Highly creative and willingness to contribute innovative ideas/thinking
  • Strong understanding of Daktronics and Expression
  • Ability to think quickly on your feet and operate in stressful situations
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
