About the position

Welcome to The Little Play Cafe, Rutherford's premier indoor play space and café designed to bring joy and comfort to families and children. Our space combines a safe, engaging environment for kids with a cozy café for parents and guardians. We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Manager to oversee daily operations and help us continue creating memorable experiences for our guests. As the Operations and Marketing Manager, you'll be at the heart of our play space and café operations. From handling customer check-ins and café orders to managing social media and email marketing, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day functions. Your passion for working with children and excellent organizational skills will help us deliver top-notch service and create a welcoming atmosphere for families.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, including customer sign-ins, café order management, and ensuring the play space remains clean and safe.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Manage and create engaging content for our social media platforms and execute email marketing campaigns to promote events and special offers.
  • Supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure that all team members are trained and motivated to deliver outstanding service.
  • Monitor inventory levels for the café and play space, placing orders as needed to ensure stock availability.
  • Plan and coordinate special events and activities for children and families.

Requirements

  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and creating a positive environment for families.
  • Previous experience in management, particularly in a customer-facing role, is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in social media platforms and email marketing.
  • A commitment to providing outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Comfort with using computer systems and software for scheduling, inventory management, and social media.
