About the position

The Operations & Tenant Engagement Manager at Montgomery College's Germantown Campus is responsible for overseeing daily operations and managing tenant engagement at The Pickney Innovation Complex for Science and Technology (PIC MC). This role focuses on operational leadership, developing strategies to enhance tenant relations, and ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of PIC MC and the College's Transformational Aspirations. The position involves collaboration with various stakeholders and supports economic development initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily operations of PIC MC, ensuring efficiency and resource management.
  • Formulate and implement marketing and communication strategies for PIC MC.
  • Assist the Executive Director of PIC MC with special projects and manage all related administrative tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure alignment with College goals and priorities.
  • Lead and support operational staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Support board relations and management in collaboration with the Executive Director and administrative support staff.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date records and files related to PIC MC operations.
  • Engage with local and regional economic and workforce development initiatives, fostering partnerships that align with PIC MC's mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five years of experience in operational management and tenant relations, with at least three years in a technology or bioscience park, economic development, or workforce development environment.
  • Three years of experience with financial and budget management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of financial management and strategic planning.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
