About the position

The Operations and Training Coordinator will be a key member of the Production Operations team, responsible for ensuring the organization maintains world-class production capabilities through effective training programs. This role focuses on managing and delivering training that aligns with company values and regulatory requirements, overseeing the assurance process for training effectiveness, and continually improving training materials. Additionally, the coordinator will manage operations practices to promote safety and efficiency, fostering strong relationships between office and field locations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive competency-based training program for all personnel within the production operations team.
  • Develop and implement training schedules and programs to ensure successful completion of the competency-based training program.
  • Manage all record keeping within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Liaise with third-party training providers to ensure training availability for contract operations and maintenance staff.
  • Oversee the assurance process for the training program, ensuring regular assessment and improvement of training effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular training needs analyses to identify skills and knowledge gaps within the operations team.
  • Provide active support to the Operations and Maintenance Manager for the efficient running of the operations team.
  • Manage key operations practices, including the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing competency-based training programs.
  • Experience in managing key operations practices and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to training and operations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to training and operations in the oil and gas industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in training and development is preferred but not required.
  • Any relevant certifications in operations or safety would be advantageous.
