About the position

The Operations Applications Analyst at Klein Tools is responsible for maintaining and enhancing various software systems within the Distribution Center. This role focuses on increasing productivity and maximizing efficiency through system management, reporting, and operational support. The analyst will also be involved in training and troubleshooting system issues, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and maintain items in the Warehouse Management System to manage product flow.
  • Create daily and monthly reports and provide analysis, including on-demand query reports for different departments.
  • Perform random audits of item dimensions and weights to ensure order accuracy before packing.
  • Conduct audits on the floor to check item locations in the system as needed.
  • Prepare operational support manuals and written procedures for software/hardware used or system enhancements.
  • Analyze and investigate system issues, communicate with the IT Department, and develop recommendations for action.
  • Assist in implementing World Class Principles to improve customer satisfaction and lean manufacturing standards.
  • Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Engineering with 1 to 2 years of experience in a computerized distribution environment, or a High School diploma with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and warehouse management systems.
  • Experience with IMI Series (AS400) and Boss is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify problems with anomalous data.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to troubleshoot and analyze data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
