The Operations Asset Manager will also be expected to travel as needed and maintain regular and predictable attendance. Responsibilities

• Manage a designated fleet of drivers to meet company expectations for productivity and asset utilization.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities including coaching, planning, assigning work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
• Dispatch drivers based on available equipment and load criteria.
• Route drivers to specific destinations as required by company policies.
• Balance time off requests made by drivers with operational needs to move freight.
• Communicate with drivers to optimize productivity and reduce turnover.
• Monitor driver logbook hours to comply with Department of Transportation regulations.
• Track all loads from dispatch until delivery and resolve any service issues.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with drivers.
• Travel as needed and maintain regular attendance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or three to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficient in using computers and software programs.
• Ability to read, write, talk, and hear; perform basic math operations; and lift/move up to 10 lbs.
