The Operations Associate's role at JCPenney is pivotal in creating an outstanding customer experience by performing various operations functions within the store. Replenishing and restocking the store is another critical responsibility. You will monitor inventory levels and assist your sales floor peers by preparing merchandise to ensure that customers have access to the styles and sizes they desire. This includes receiving and unloading merchandise from deliveries, working collaboratively with your co-workers to maintain a well-organized stockroom that adheres to safety and cleanliness standards. The Operations Associate will also contribute to omnichannel efforts, which include facilitating Buy Online Pickup in Store, shipping online orders, and managing returns. You will play a key role in executing the merchandise strategy communicated by leadership, ensuring that products are placed throughout the store according to established merchandising standards. This attention to detail is essential for delivering an outstanding customer experience. Moreover, you will participate in a learning environment, absorbing new information from peers and training materials related to merchandise, safety, productivity, and other business processes. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, with a focus on driving sales and enhancing customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and requests.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of retail experience is preferred.
