The Operations Associate at JCPenney plays a crucial role in creating an outstanding customer experience by performing various operational functions within the store. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and requests.
• Execute pricing and signage changes on merchandise throughout the store efficiently.
• Replenish and restock merchandise to ensure availability of styles and sizes for customers.
• Receive and unload merchandise from deliveries, preparing it for the sales floor.
• Maintain backroom standards by keeping the stockroom safe, clean, and organized.
• Contribute to omnichannel efforts including Buy Online Pickup in Store, Ship from Store, and handling returns.
• Implement merchandise strategies as communicated by leadership, ensuring proper placement and presentation of products.
• Engage in a learning environment by absorbing new information about merchandise and business processes.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make smart decisions that drive sales and customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively, inspiring strong performance in oneself and others.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members.
• Proactive attitude towards improving the customer experience and taking action with energy.
