About the position

The Operations Associate's role is pivotal in creating an outstanding customer experience by performing various operational functions within the store. This position is primarily focused on early morning shifts, where the associate will collaborate with a team to execute essential tasks before the store opens. The Operations Associate is expected to engage actively with customers, ensuring that their needs are met promptly and efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to customer service, as associates will be navigating the store at a fast pace while also being available to assist customers with inquiries or requests. In addition to customer service, the Operations Associate will be responsible for executing pricing and signing on merchandise throughout the store. This includes changing ticket prices and ensuring that all signage is accurate and up-to-date. The associate will also play a crucial role in replenishing and restocking the store, understanding customer needs, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor to ensure that all styles and sizes are available for customers. Receiving and unloading merchandise is another key responsibility, where the associate will work alongside co-workers to manage inventory effectively. Maintaining backroom standards is essential, as the stockroom must be kept safe, clean, and organized. The Operations Associate will also contribute to omnichannel efforts, which include Buy Online Pickup in Store, Ship from Store, Order Delivery and Returns, and Shipping Online Orders. The role requires the execution of merchandise strategies communicated by leadership, ensuring that products are placed throughout the store according to established merchandising standards. The Operations Associate will participate in a learning environment, absorbing new information from peers and training materials related to merchandise, shrink, safety, productivity, and other business processes. Overall, this position is integral to the store's operations and customer satisfaction, requiring a blend of efficiency, attention to detail, and a commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and requests.
  • Execute pricing and signage changes on merchandise throughout the store.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of retail experience is preferred.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make smart decisions that drive sales and customer satisfaction.
