About the position

The Operations Business Analyst plays a crucial role in the Distribution Center in Atlanta, Georgia, by gathering, analyzing, and providing consolidated information to the leadership team. This position focuses on using data to guide staffing decisions and long-term strategic initiatives, ultimately impacting operational quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Distribution Leadership to analyze departments and identify areas of opportunity for fact-based decision making.
  • Manipulate large sets of data in databases and spreadsheets to derive insights.
  • Collaborate with various departments to correlate practices and policies with results.
  • Champion recommended changes to processes, tools, and systems.
  • Develop systems to gather and store relevant data.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, including process change management for projects in the Distribution Center.
  • Collect, analyze, and publish key distribution metrics such as productivity, cost, quality, and safety.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for corresponding metrics and initiatives.
  • Lead a team of specialists focused on various departments in the distribution center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Supply Chain Management, or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Analytical/Business Analyst role within a manufacturing and distribution environment, preferably in consumer packaged goods.
  • Proficient, hands-on experience using a warehouse management system and manufacturing resource planning, preferably in SAP.
  • Excellent leadership, management, motivation, and communication skills.
  • Strong ability to influence others and drive change without direct ownership.
  • Experience in team development, KPI metric development, and project management.
  • Proven track record as a strong leader/manager of large planning organizations.
  • Ability to translate best practices and establish goals into actionable results with a proven record of accomplishments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly proactive with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; SAP experience preferred.
