About the position

The Operations Business Director at the Treasury Department is responsible for leading three operational branches, including Property Management, Engineering, and Curatorial Branch. This role involves developing long-range strategies and plans to enhance mission success, improve customer service, and ensure cost-efficiency. The director will oversee approximately 35 employees and contractors, collaborating with stakeholders to make informed business recommendations and drive operational sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-range strategies and plans of action to enable mission success.
• Support the development of a robust business information system for data-based decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop proposals for improving customer service and cost-efficiency.
• Compute and analyze life cycle costs and transaction costs associated with service delivery.
• Develop innovative proposals and policy options for operational sustainability and climate resiliency.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
• One year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level in the Federal service.
• Experience in developing and managing employee professional development and training.
• Experience in formulating goals and objectives and developing strategies for operational outcomes.
• Responsibility for program budget formulation and execution.
• Experience in evaluating program effectiveness using metrics.
