About the position

The Operations Business Manager at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) plays a crucial role in the Operational Excellence department, focusing on aligning business processes with the company's strategic goals. This position involves managing various operational aspects, including budget management, annual operating plans, and capital expenditures, while ensuring effective performance improvements across departments and the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Manage Operations Indirect Budget
• Manage Operations Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Risk
• Assist in the execution of the Integrated Business Planning Process
• Assist in the management of the Capital Expenditures Process
• Assist in the management of the Forecast Inventory Process
• Assist the OpEx Charter with specific assessments as required

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Business Administration or related discipline
• 11+ years of progressively complex experience in project administration
• At least 5 years in project management
• Thorough understanding of project management processes and procedures
• Ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and software such as MiniTab
• Strong leadership skills
• Effective team player with excellent coaching skills
• Integrated Business planning and Sales and Operations Planning experience
• Strong Finance background
• Knowledge of GA-ASI organizations, processes, and products
