About the position

As an Operations Business Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business users and IT Application Analysts, as well as Operations Analytics. This position requires a deep understanding of SAP systems and their application in business processes. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, and implementing solutions that enhance business operations. Your work will involve close collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to optimize system performance. In this role, you will troubleshoot issues, provide training to end-users, and ensure that systems align with business goals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will need to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and demonstrate a proven track record of delivering successful projects. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations, ultimately helping us fulfill our mission of improving patient outcomes. Essential duties include collaborating cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors, gathering and documenting business and functional requirements, and translating business needs into applicable system design solutions. You will lead efforts to analyze, troubleshoot, and improve our growing business through SAP enhancements and new implementations, including process and system design, testing, validation, user training, and post-go-live support. Additionally, you will provide production support to end users, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintain training materials, all while upholding the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Translate needs of the business into applicable system design solutions.
  • Lead efforts to analyze, troubleshoot, and improve our growing business with SAP enhancements and new implementations.
  • Provide production support to end users by troubleshooting system issues, analyzing processes, and recommending course of action.
  • Partner with IT to identify solutions, perform functional testing, and work with end-users to complete and document user acceptance testing.
  • Write system/user documentation and train end users on functionality.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain training materials.
  • Support the day-to-day business with open issues as first level support for end users.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field; or High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst supporting processes in systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP.
  • Experience as an analyst in an operations, supply chain, and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing existing business processes and systems during mergers and acquisitions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a biotech/life sciences manufacturing environment; preferably in a cGMP, ISO 13485, and/or CLIA environment.
  • Experience at a company with Computer Systems Validation processes in place or equivalent best practices and of change control as it relates to application systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori apps as a business user or in a technical support role.
