About the position

The Operations Capital Equipment Project Manager at Pratt & Whitney is responsible for developing manufacturing strategies for Disk, Blade, and Airfoil components to enhance yield and process control across operations. This role involves leading a diverse team to create sustainable capital strategies, manage procurement activities, and drive projects from conception through implementation, ensuring alignment with the company's growth strategy in aerospace propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing strategies for Disk, Blade, and Airfoil components.
• Lead a diverse team including Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, EH&S, IT & facilities.
• Manage procurement activities including feasibility evaluations and economic life cycle cost analysis.
• Lead cross-functional teams to complete projects aligned with growth strategies.
• Act as site lead for growth projects and programs, coordinating with the Core Capital Equipment Procurement Organization.
• Assist with multi-year capital planning and programming coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure all tasks are performed with a high level of safety awareness and oversee contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 3 years of experience in project management or related field.
• Strong skills in contractor management and tooling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and management tools.
• Experience with machining and programmable logic controllers.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Kaizen.
• Strong organizational and analysis skills.
