The Operations Clerk position at Republic Services involves providing essential clerical and administrative support to the operations department under direct supervision. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations by managing various tasks related to inventory, route information, and customer service. The Operations Clerk will be responsible for reviewing container supply and demand reports, updating inventory management reports, and inputting route information into the computer system on a daily basis. Additionally, the clerk may collect daily on-site container information and maintain an accurate inventory log. In this role, the Operations Clerk will assist Dispatchers by responding to customer and driver complaints and inquiries, ensuring that any safety or customer service-related issues are reported to the supervisor or manager immediately. The position also involves maintaining and processing operations information, including vehicle maintenance records, accounting data, and route sheets. The clerk will distribute, collect, and review route sheets to ensure proper billing and productivity reporting, and assist in generating monthly productivity reports. Safety is a priority in this role, and the Operations Clerk is expected to follow all safety policies and procedures while participating with the team to achieve safety goals. The position may also require assisting other departments, such as customer service and accounting, and may involve supporting driver de-brief processes. Other job-related duties may be assigned as necessary, making this a dynamic role within the operations team.
