About the position

The Operations Client Service Associate role at State Street involves performing daily fund accounting activities, ensuring quality service through teamwork, and addressing various accounting tasks related to financial products. The position requires problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team of Fund Accountants.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of daily cash, position, and market value reconciliations including trade capture and pricing
• Assist in the Dealing Date accounting process
• Assist in reviewing and resolving reconciliations of portfolio cash and security accounts
• Opportunity to work on corporate actions, equities, fixed income, futures, options, and swaps
• Assist in the semi-annual and annual audit process
• Handle more complex tasks
• Provide advice and serve as a point of reference for queries from junior fund accountants
• Identify any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and report/escalate as per corporate policy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related area
• 2-3 years of experience preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Knowledge of financial products preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to perform effectively within strict client deadlines
