About the position

The Operations and Communications Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the UIT leadership team by enhancing communication strategies and coordinating events. This position is designed for a strategic thinker who can effectively collaborate with the CIO to promote excellence in IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CIO in developing and implementing communication strategies.
  • Coordinate and manage events related to IT initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for leadership meetings.
  • Facilitate communication between various departments and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in operations or communications roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in higher education or IT environments.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
