About the position

The Operations Continuous Improvement Manager, Senior at Starbucks plays a crucial role in enhancing the Roastery & Reserve business by leading the implementation of various programs. This position involves providing direct support to retail leadership teams, consulting on operational needs, and driving strategic decision-making through effective change management and problem-solving. The role requires a blend of culinary expertise and analytical skills to evaluate program success and influence necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide shoulder-to-shoulder support to Roastery & Reserve retail leadership teams.
  • Consult with retail operations to understand needs, gaps, and existing problems to be solved.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and consult with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct problem-solving through business acumen, research, and assessment, including observing the retail store environment and gathering customer feedback.
  • Develop robust and detailed work plans for the implementation of key initiatives, including a change management approach.
  • Evaluate the success of programs and initiatives, influencing adjustments to projects or programs for continuous improvement.
  • Support the launch of new promotions by training in-store food leaders and refining quality standards and workflows.

Requirements

  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated willingness to learn new things.
  • Ability to influence others and communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of quantitative analysis.
