About the position

The Operations Controls - Business Manager role at Citigroup is a senior leadership position within the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) organization. This role focuses on overseeing organizational effectiveness and administration for the COO function, particularly in risk and controls. The Business Manager will engage with various product and support functions to ensure robust governance, risk identification, and control simplification, while also managing administrative and operational activities such as budget analytics, regulatory reviews, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Liaison with product and support functions building relationships with operations, finance and technology to develop and deliver on strategy
• Demonstrate a knowledge of business management, operations, and risk & control
• Relay business/product knowledge to internal support functions where required
• Co-ordinate and participate actively in all relevant business initiatives as required
• Create and report effective metrics reporting to stakeholders including senior management
• Ownership of business driven activities and projects across functions, driving implementation and working closely with relevant seniors
• Challenge inefficient and legacy processes to deliver best possible outcomes for stakeholders
• Work under pressure with problem solving skills and ability to work effectively as part of team and autonomously
• Foster excellent relationships between the businesses and various functional support functions
• Communicate (written and oral) information within and between the businesses and support functions
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate across functions and at all levels
• High level of computer literacy especially in the Microsoft Office product suite, work proficiently in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Requirements

• 10+ years experience in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders
• Prior work experience in area related to analytics and/or strategy consulting
• Ability to work in a team of diverse skill
