About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Cincinnati Children's Hospital is responsible for a variety of administrative, procedural, financial, legal, operational, and quality improvement activities essential for the effective functioning of the facilities and support of core business functions related to treatment and payment. This position is integral to ensuring that operations are efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating daily operations in collaboration with leadership, monitoring business processes, and identifying opportunities for improving cost and quality. The Operations Coordinator will develop and implement policies and procedures aimed at enhancing utilization, quality, and overall operations. Additionally, the coordinator will resolve issues related to the utilization of facilities and equipment, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and promoting compliance with all regulatory requirements. In terms of responsibilities, the Operations Coordinator will assist with facilities-related projects, monitor timelines for completion, and communicate effectively with staff and vendors. This includes managing routine purchases or repair maintenance of facility equipment and coordinating space to meet the operational and strategic goals of the division. The role also encompasses collaboration with IT and design teams to ensure proper placement of items in clinical areas, as well as assisting with the commissioning and decommissioning processes. The Operations Coordinator will also play a key role in accreditation, regulatory compliance, and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary. This includes assisting with revenue distribution models for executed agreements and identifying ongoing opportunities to improve compliance with agreement obligations. Furthermore, the coordinator will handle supply ordering and materials management, which involves receiving, storing, and distributing products, materials, equipment, and supplies. Maintaining a working knowledge of supplies and making recommendations for inventory management are also critical aspects of this role. Collaboration and teamwork are essential components of this position. The Operations Coordinator will work cooperatively with others to achieve goals, proactively adjust their style to complement team efforts, and contribute to a positive and professional work environment. This role may also involve serving as a liaison within the division or organization, fostering positive working relationships with peers and colleagues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
