This position is responsible for overseeing the Military Academic Recognition Program, the Veteran Friendly Employer Recognition Program, and the Justice Involved Veterans'/Veteran Treatment Courts (VTC). The Operations Coordinator will also play a key role in workforce development initiatives and act as a proactive advocate for veterans across the state. The coordinator will also be expected to build strong relationships with federal, state, county, city, private sector, and non-profit entities to ensure comprehensive support for veterans and their families. The position also involves using the Division of Operations Task Tracker to manage tasks effectively, assisting in the creation of presentations, and analyzing data collected. The Operations Coordinator will contribute to the Employment and Workforce Development Working Group, providing updates and presentations on matters related to justice-involved veterans, education, training, and recognition programs. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the mission of the SCDVA.
