About the position

We are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator/Administrative Assistant in Arlington, VA. The Operations Coordinator/Administrative Assistant is responsible for streamlining and enhancing the day-to-day operational processes within the DASADEC. This role requires a detail-oriented and highly organized individual who can efficiently coordinate projects, integrate various functions across directorates, and ensure that operational tasks are completed smoothly and effectively. The Operations Coordinator will manage and oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficient and effective processes. This includes coordinating and collaborating with various directorates to streamline operations and improve workflow. The individual will monitor and track the progress of operational projects and initiatives, ensuring that deadlines and milestones are met. In addition, the role involves facilitating communication and integration between directorates to align operational activities with strategic goals. The Operations Coordinator will develop and implement processes that enhance cross-functional collaboration and efficiency, identifying and addressing any operational bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and recommending and implementing solutions. The position also requires planning, executing, and overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they align with organizational objectives. The Operations Coordinator will prepare and maintain project documentation, including timelines, budgets, and reports, while coordinating resources and managing project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Continuous assessment and analysis of operational processes will be a key responsibility, identifying areas for improvement and developing initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. The individual will also collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support decision-making, preparing and presenting regular reports on operational performance, identifying trends and insights, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity in all operational reporting. Furthermore, the Operations Coordinator will provide support and training to team members on operational processes and procedures, developing training materials and conducting training sessions to enhance team capabilities. The role will also involve developing, assigning, and tracking tasks to ensure timely completion, utilizing task management tools to organize and prioritize workloads, and regularly updating task statuses while providing reports to relevant stakeholders. Overall, this position is crucial for ensuring that operational tasks are completed effectively and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Requirements

  • Active SECRET clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in an operations or project management role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across directorates
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
