About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Xavier University will provide essential operational, budgetary, and logistical support for the Brueggeman Center for Dialogue and the Office of Government Relations. This role is pivotal in overseeing budgets, managing expenditures, coordinating logistics for programs and events, and facilitating communication with community partners, thereby advancing the center's mission in interfaith dialogue, sustainability, social justice, and community development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee budgets, track and process expenditures for endowed funds, operational and individual programs.
  • Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings and travel logistics.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating events, including event registration, attendance tracking, reserving venues, and managing catering and audio-visual requirements.
  • Manage Brueggeman Center house space by providing assistance to visitors and maintaining supplies and room conditions.
  • Provide support for the Brueggeman Fellows Program and student-related work of the Government Director, including coordinating travel arrangements and assisting in producing and monitoring publicity.
  • Support communication with internal and external visitors, including developing content for social media and providing assistance for the website.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 1-3 years administrative or related experience.
  • Experience managing budgets and expenses.
  • Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Office, including proficiency with Excel.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Humanities or Religion.
  • Experience in higher education.
