About the position

The Operations Coordinator will assist in the overall operations of the community and facilities at American Campus Communities. This role focuses on ensuring that operations align with company standards and enhancing the resident experience through exceptional customer service. The coordinator will collaborate with various departments to manage day-to-day operations, including maintenance, resident relations, and community events.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall day-to-day operations of the community, including maintenance and resident relations management.
• Update and manage the Turn-Board to reflect unit statuses accurately.
• Collaborate with management and community teams to ensure efficient unit turnovers and move processes.
• Respond to work orders and resident inquiries in a timely manner, adhering to quality standards.
• Communicate staffing shifts and expectations related to the Turn process.
• Participate in weekly meetings, walkthroughs, and inspections.
• Perform after-hours duties as needed, including on-call rotation and resident events.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and training for staff.
• Maintain the curb appeal of the property and ensure cleanliness year-round.
• Assist in managing vendors and ensuring compliance with Key Control procedures.
• Collaborate to oversee the development of community standards and support community events.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management software.
• Strong customer service skills and effective communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach.
• Ability to address inquiries or complaints from residents and partners.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in facilities management or community operations.
• Knowledge of risk management and loss prevention programs.
