About the position

The Operations Coordinator/Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as experience in the household goods moving and storage industry.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule employees and equipment to meet requirements of daily jobs
  • Prepare paperwork, assignment schedules, and assign individuals based on routes
  • Manage and coordinate fleet operations efficiently
  • Analyze transportation data to optimize routes and schedules
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams
  • Handle shipping and receiving documentation
  • Perform data entry tasks
  • Assure compliance with state and federal regulations, reviews and enforces company policies.

Requirements

  • Must have current Commercial Driver's License
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proficient in phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management
  • Experience in fleet management is a plus
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and freight operations
  • Knowledge of moving and transportation industry
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles/techniques
  • Good organizational and communication skills
