About the position

The Operations Coordinator at Carvana is a vital role responsible for managing various on-site logistics tasks, primarily focused on staging vehicles and maintaining an accurate inventory of cars. This position requires the individual to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year. The Operations Coordinator will oversee the execution of tasks and ensure that operations run smoothly, although this role does not include direct reports. The expected compensation for this position ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role in the overall operations of the company. In this position, the Operations Coordinator will be tasked with staging inbound and outbound vehicles as needed, documenting vehicle inventory using a scanning device, and maintaining site rosters and schedules. Additionally, the coordinator will be responsible for ordering site-level supplies and preparing communication plans for key operational initiatives or events. This includes writing, creating, and distributing internal communications such as emails, business updates, and announcements. The role also involves handling, coordinating, and overseeing on-site engagement events, collaborating with leadership teams, internal stakeholders, vendors, and partners, and performing other on-site duties as assigned. To succeed in this role, the Operations Coordinator must possess strong communication skills, both oral and written, and have experience in event coordination. A flexible schedule is essential, as the individual may need to work weekends and stay late to ensure the success of operations. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and demonstrate creativity and execution skills. The ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and maintain excellent organizational and time management skills is crucial.
