The Operations Coordinator position at James Madison University (JMU) is a part-time role within the Community Engagement and Volunteer Center (CEVC). This position is designed for current JMU students who are looking for a dynamic work environment that goes beyond traditional desk jobs. Responsibilities
- Assist with payroll
- Support event logistics
- Process registrations and payments
- Provide administrative and event support
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Actively participate in CEVC trainings, reflection sessions, and meetings
- Co-lead Dukes Making a Difference (DMAD) event
- Recruit and engage students for CEVC events and programs
- Assist with event support, planning, and execution
- Prepare materials and represent CEVC at events
- Lead reflection sessions
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning office space
- Support student involvement via various platforms
- Create and share ideas for social media content (optional)
Requirements
- Must be a current JMU student enrolled in at least 6 credits
- Ability to start on August 6 and attend a 40-hour Fall Training
- Interest in community priorities such as ending hunger and homelessness
- Effective time management, task organization, and prioritization skills
- Flexibility, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
