About the position

The Elementary Operations Coordinator at YES Prep Public Schools is responsible for overseeing various operational aspects of the campus, including recruitment, enrollment, attendance, and compliance with policies. This role involves building relationships with community partners, ensuring effective onboarding of new families, and maintaining a safe and organized school environment. The coordinator will also assist in administrative operations and support the Director of Campus Operations in various tasks to enhance the overall efficiency of the school.

Responsibilities

  • Create and lead recruitment and enrollment efforts for the campus.
  • Act as the liaison between campus personnel and Home Office on lottery-related issues.
  • Execute student recruitment strategies targeting families within a 5-mile radius of the campus.
  • Build relationships with community partners to enhance brand awareness.
  • Attend community events to connect with families and promote the school.
  • Collaborate with campus staff on recruitment and engagement events.
  • Maintain and cultivate a solid waitlist after the lottery.
  • Monitor quality of applications and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure effective onboarding of new families with ongoing communication and invitations to tours.
  • Monitor progress towards enrollment goals and make timely adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies regarding student data.
  • Lead planning and execution of new student interactions to acclimate them to campus culture.
  • Lead planning and execution of new parent events to integrate them into the campus community.
  • Call guardians of absent students to encourage attendance and gather information.
  • Execute a daily tardy system and input data into the database.
  • Participate in Attendance Committee meetings and collaborate on attendance incentives.
  • Provide and supervise the creation of required reports for school operations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for daily facility and custodial needs.
  • Assist in supervising auxiliary services like transportation and food service.
  • Conduct bus counts and communicate transportation changes to parents.
  • Prioritize campus safety and assist in monthly safety drills.
  • Create and distribute transportation tags for students.
  • Assist with front desk coverage and greet visitors.
  • Coordinate logistics for student field trips, including transportation and meals.
  • Think strategically about operational systems for increased efficiency.
  • Oversee daily administrative operations and resolve related problems.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of business, operational, or managerial experience.
  • Ability to analyze, develop, establish, and maintain efficient office workflow and administrative processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise excellent judgment in decision-making.
