About the position

The Operations Coordinator/Manager at ABC Kortsch is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the moving crew and serving as the primary contact for clients. This role requires a high-energy leader who is committed to delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards in operations. The position involves managing logistics, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of moving operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
• Operate a delivery vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
• Prep, load, unload, and install furniture safely and efficiently.
• Follow company policy regarding the handling of items.
• Complete paperwork accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles and supplies.
• Constantly advance moving skills.
• Direct crew members.
• Responsible for minor office maintenance, including trash/recycling and snow/ice removal from the office space.
• Hiring additional crew members.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• An associate or bachelor's degree in a similar discipline is preferred.
• Operations management experience in the moving industry is required.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid Wisconsin driver's license with a good driving record.
• Excellent computer and technology skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the moving industry (1 year preferred).
• Operations management experience (2 years preferred).
