About the position

As an Operations Coordinator in Member Service at First Community Credit Union (FCCU), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our members and branch personnel. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about helping others and are committed to delivering outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for handling inquiries related to deposit products and services, assisting branch personnel with teller functions, and managing Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and Health Spending Account (HSA) programs. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining, coordinating, and conducting technical deposit and teller training, ensuring that both members and employees are well-informed and equipped to handle their banking needs. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for resolving inquiries from employees regarding teller functions and new account processes. You will utilize your strong communication skills to respond to questions, conduct research, and follow up as necessary. A solid understanding of deposit products and services, as well as the core system, will be essential for effectively addressing member inquiries and providing technological assistance in maintaining member account information. Additionally, you will assist in all aspects of the IRA program, including processing transfers and rollovers, distributing mandatory notices, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Your responsibilities will also extend to the HSA program, where you will perform various activities related to teller and deposit training, including preparing training materials and facilitating sessions. Your ability to take ownership of member inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner will be key to ensuring member satisfaction and compliance with operational procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone support to members and branch personnel for inquiries related to deposit products and services.
  • Assist branch personnel with all teller function inquiries.
  • Assist with Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and Health Spending Account (HSA) programs.
  • Maintain, coordinate, and conduct technical deposit and teller training.
  • Serve as the first call resolution for inquiries from employees on teller functions and new account processes.
  • Respond to questions, conduct research, and follow up as necessary.
  • Utilize resources and core system technologies to resolve member issues.
  • Maintain a solid working knowledge of deposit products and services and the core system.
  • Provide technological assistance in the recording and maintenance of member account information.
  • Process IRA transfers and rollovers; distribute mandatory notices on IRA products and processes.
  • Review tax forms for accuracy and compliance; approve transmission of IRA-related tax files to the IRS after verification.
  • Perform a variety of activities related to teller and deposit training, including facilitating training.
  • Prepare training materials and presentations for Member Service functions.
  • Respond to members' telephone inquiries, requests, and problems, taking ownership to resolve issues in a timely manner.
