The position also involves preparing paperwork and labels for both international and domestic shipments, and assisting in the recovery, delivery, and verification of freight and shipping documentation. The Operations Coordinator must exercise independent judgment in interpreting instructions and adhering to departmental protocols and practices while carrying out their duties. Responsibilities

  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Prepare operational reports and perform data entry with high attention to detail.
  • Accurately label and manifest shipments.
  • Regularly audit shipment tags to ensure scheduled pickups and deliveries are executed.
  • Prepare paperwork and labels for international and domestic shipments.
  • Assist in the recovery, delivery, and verification of freight and shipping documentation.
  • Exercise independent judgment in interpreting instructions and utilizing departmental protocols.
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • 1-2 years prior experience in a similar position.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with freight management systems and MS Office suite.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and ability to provide consistent quality service.
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with warehouse activities and experience on a sit-down forklift.
  • Previous LTL logistics or Freight Forwarding experience.
