Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our Caleb Brett team at our Signal Hill Facility. The Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Cargo & Analytical Assessment business by ensuring effective communication with both internal and external clients, thereby facilitating the accurate delivery of our services. The Caleb Brett team specializes in cargo inspection and analytical assessment for the petroleum, mining, minerals, and biofuels industries. Our mission is to help customers optimize their cargo returns and resolve complex technical challenges through our extensive expertise and innovative solutions. As an Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing job nominations and assignments, acting as the single point of contact for customers in your designated area. You will handle requests for services, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with client instructions while identifying potential operational issues. In this role, you will also be tasked with maintaining communication among all parties involved in job assignments, collecting information from inspectors, and coordinating with laboratories to prepare final reports. Additionally, you will manage account receivable balances and maintain accurate records for billing and claims handling. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of the petroleum and chemical inspection processes. You will also be expected to represent the company positively during customer visits and job site assessments, contributing to the overall marketing strategy for your clients.
