About the position

The Operations Coordinator at the School of Nursing (SON) plays a vital role in supporting the operational needs of the SON community by collaborating with various departments to ensure access to necessary resources. This position focuses on administrative operations, IT support, facilities management, and special projects, all aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the School of Nursing's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative operations and support including onboarding/offboarding and asset/inventory management.
  • Assist with IT operations and support, including basic troubleshooting for SON end users and IT/AV purchasing.
  • Coordinate space and facilities operations, acting as a backup safety and building coordinator.
  • Support special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.
  • Two or more years of administrative operations experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in a service-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment in addressing requests and issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
  • Proficient in common computer applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot basic computer equipment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous facilities support and space management experience.
  • Administrative operations experience at the University of California.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
