About the position

The Operations Coordinator in Supply Chain Management at Ascension St. Francis is responsible for overseeing daily operations related to supply and inventory control. This role involves investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving any inventory issues or problems that may arise. The coordinator will perform audit and logistical duties to ensure that supply and inventory control processes are efficient and effective. Additionally, the position requires maintaining appropriate inventory storeroom levels and managing financial variances associated with inventory. The Operations Coordinator will execute product conversions within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and maintain item attributes in the ERP system to ensure accurate tracking and management of supplies. A critical aspect of this role is to support distribution and daily supply operations, ensuring that there are no disruptions that could negatively impact patient care. The coordinator will also be responsible for minimizing stock expiration by adhering to stock rotation guidelines and best practices, thereby ensuring that all supplies are utilized effectively and efficiently. This position is part of a larger team dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care throughout the Chicago area. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily operations for supply and inventory control.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues/problems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice-to-haves

  • Materials Management experience (highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and mainframe inventory system software (highly preferred)
  • Must be able to stand on your feet for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 30lbs (highly preferred)
