About the position

The Operations Coordinator/Technical Training Coordinator at Atkore is responsible for providing day-to-day operational support across all functional areas within the Manufacturing Plant. This role involves assisting with project communication, training, and various administrative functions while promoting lean manufacturing practices and employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project communication and documentation
  • Assist with Shipping, Purchasing, and Receiving functions
  • Transact orders, cut/close PO's, and schedule
  • Facilitate communications and presentations for various meetings, roundtables, and townhalls
  • Prepare and deliver training materials and presentations including orientations, annual compliance, and safety trainings
  • Partner with Human Resources and Maintenance departments to lead facility improvement projects
  • Manage employee engagement activities including luncheons, holiday celebrations, and outreach initiatives
  • Support various departments in administrative functions, including electronic employee file management system
  • Support human resources on recruitment, compliance, training, and development tasks
  • Support Lean and Safety initiatives including Technical Training and Onboarding
  • Prepare reports, matrices, presentations, and communications as needed
  • Maintain technical training attendance and completion records, coordinate and schedule technical training, and prepare participants, materials, and training location to facilitate successful delivery of training
  • Assist with employee relations with a customer service mindset
  • Collaborate with others
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of equivalent experience in an operations coordinator or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of and experience with lean manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adaptability to changing business demands
  • Capacity to perform at a high level in a fast-paced working environment
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, plan workload, and establish priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal
