About the position

The Operations Coordinator role for Underground Construction at Entergy Texas, Inc. involves overseeing the scheduling, assignment, management, and monitoring of construction and service work. The position ensures compliance with company standards and safety guidelines while coordinating with various departments to maintain and construct facilities according to specifications. The role also includes emergency response duties and requires strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, assign, manage, and monitor construction and service work.
• Ensure all work meets company standards and service dates while complying with safety guidelines.
• Prepare and carry out switching orders for the distribution system.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Vegetation, DOC, and other departments to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Assume dispatching duties during emergency and storm situations to restore service promptly.
• Read and interpret construction prints.
• Work with external and internal customers.
• Assume Supervisor's duties temporarily in their absence.
• Review daily outages and monitor TACTICS and reliability issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of computers and related technology.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks.
• Excellent leadership skills and strong decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities under pressure.
• Self-motivated and dependable team player.
