About the position

As an Operations Coordinator at KBR Government Solutions, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operational readiness and innovation that drives our mission success. This position is designed for entry-level professionals who are eager to develop their core competencies in project management and operations. You will be working under direct supervision, performing routine assignments that involve coordinating various project management activities, resources, equipment, and information. Your responsibilities will include breaking down projects into manageable tasks, setting timeframes and goals, and creating comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for project status updates, ensuring that all participants are adequately informed. You will also be responsible for maintaining quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed established standards. Effective communication will be key, as you will facilitate clear and consistent communication within your team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone aligned on project goals and updates. This position is based in Chantilly, Virginia, and requires 100% onsite presence, with travel expected between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Break projects into doable tasks and set timeframes and goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in operations or project management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
